Black tea (Japan)
This Japanese smoked black tea is the meeting of tea harvested from the family plantation of Mr. Matsumoto, an exceptionally talented tea maker, and the famous Japanese Nagano maple. Smoked with maple wood shavings, this tea gives a more delicate drink than its Chinese cousin Lapsang Souchong and develops round, warm notes. A meditation tea, perfect as a fine after-dinner drink, it is produced in very limited quantities.
A perfect accompaniment to brunch or savoury breakfast. Excellent with smoked salmon, cured meats and mature cheeses, it becomes an unusual after-dinner tea paired with dark chocolate.
