Thailand Oolong Jing Shuan

Grand Cru selection

Thai loose leaf Oolong tea

Leaf tea 40 grams bag

This rich spring Oolong tea from organic framing takes inspiration by the Taiwanese style and cultivar of the well-known Milky Oolong. It is a pale yellow-green colour in cup with a full and smooth taste, lingering creamy, sweet and floral hints. This is pure oolong tea lightly oxidized and unlike some ‘milk teas’ contains no milk or any other additive. It is solely the character of the tea that earns it this name. Tea cultivation in Thailand is quite recent. In the 1960s, a community of Chinese expats decided to settle in the north of Thailand. In the 1980s, they decided to start growing tea, which was planted in an area of vast fields first dedicated to opium cultivation which the Thai government had removed. The tea plants and know-how come from Taïwan, this is why in the Golden Triangle mountains there are delicious Oolong teas that resemble those produced in Formosa Island, such as this famous Milky Oolong. The leaves can be brewed two or three times due to the high quality of the tea.
