Pears with Jasmine Tea
Ingredients (serves 2):
2 large pears peeled, seeded and cut in half
1 cup of Special Jasmine tea - Le Grandi Origini , prepared with two teaspoons of tea and infused for 5-6 minutes
1/3 cup of sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon Amaretto
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil, then lower and simmer for 15 minutes or until the pears are soften.
Remove the pears and let cool it down.
Filter the remaining sauce and return to simmer until it begins to thicken in a syrup, stirring occasionally.
Divide the pears evenly over two plates, sprinkle with sauce and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
