Green Tea, Cinnamon and Turmeric Detox

Green tea benefits meet the well known cinnamon and turmeric properties in a fragrant, depurative drink.

Turmeric, or Indian saffron, it’s used for cooking, thanks to its deep yellow color and the particular spicy taste, but it's well known for its detox and cleansing properties. It comes from the same family of ginger and its rootstock is used since thousands of years in Asia.

Cinnamon or Cinnamomum Verum, original from Sri Lanka, has an high amounts of antioxidants and add a sweet, spicy scent to this drink.

What you need?
1 Green Tea teabag or 2,5 gr. Of loose leaf green tea
1 small piece of fresh turmeric root or 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
2 cm cinnamon stick
Mineral Water

Preparation:
Infuse the green tea with cinnamon and turmeric in a big cup with water at 80 degrees temperature for about ¾ minutes, stiring the drink quite often if you use tpowdered turmeric, to dissolve it.
Add a bit of honey if you want a sweeter taste. It is nice both hot and lukewarm.
