An highly aromatic first spring tea - the renokwned 1st Flush - made from clonal variety AV2 (Ambari Vegetative) cultivar - which has peculiar characteristics in terms of the complex aroma. Soft, aromatic, light, fruity, this is a nice tea to get closer to the unique taste of Darjeeling first flush. Namring tea estate lies between 1,220 and 1,370 metres in altitude, and is one of the oldest estate, founded by the English in 1855. This 1st Flush shows small white- golden apical buds, tender green leaves and slightly larger brown leaves. Although still traditionally included among black teas, First Flush Darjeeling have some characteristics that make them unique and difficult to classify, because of the very short oxidation they can be defined as partially oxidized teas, in the style of some Chinese Wu Long. The acronym means: Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe - First choice.
